He awoke being surprised at something.
There beside his pillow, a maid, Okiyo, was standing. He still wanted to keep sleeping but got up.
About 9:30, he was asked to go down to the place of the telephone. It was from Kyosuke saying how about joining Kyosuke and some friends in a restaurant.
He went there by streetcar. 40 minutes later, he met 4 men and a young geisha hostess. He and Kyosuke came back by streetcar.
